JB's Santas are handcrafted, original Old World Santa dolls based on historical research. Each is made with the love and care that a Santa deserves. We have dedicated this site and our business to the wonderful tradition of Santa Claus (St.Nicholas, Pere Noel, Father Christmas, etc.) Santa is known world wide for creating a feeling of good will and giving. We have tried to create our Santas to convey this spirit and to show his nobility of spirit.
We have based our Santa dolls on books, old Christmas postcards, old pictures, and whatever else we could find for reference to give an accurate depiction of the old gentleman. Our fabrics are either antique or antique reproductions and are mostly tapestry and some velvet. The furs are all either recycled or imitation (dependant on the customers choice,) we don't believe using new furs would be in the spirit of the season or of Santa himself. The furs types are as they were represented to us at the time we got them. Each Santa is a handcrafted original that we hope will be in your family for generations.
We have started a new gallery page this month that will feature our newest and latest Santas, so please watch for this new page on our site. We have also started a new shopping cart that is ssl secured so that we can take your credit cards in complete security.
We are now in the process of adding a new page to the site called "Misc. Dolls" that will have the dolls we do that are not Santas. We hope you will like this addition to our inventory.
